Wilma Marie Hamilton

Wilma Marie Davis Hamilton age 91 of Lake City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Wilma was born on December 29, 1924 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late Noal and Stella Freels Davis. Wilma was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. She loved working with her flowers. Wilma was employed at Y-12 during the war and had interesting stories about this time as well as growing up during the Great Depression. She was the family caregiver as her parents and brothers and husband became ill. In earlier yeas she enjoyed gardening and sharing from her garden with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by: husband Claude Hamilton, infant sister Lenoria, sister Hazel Lovelace, brothers Edward, Everette, Rosco, Cleo, and James Davis, nephew Steve Davis, and niece Janet Davis.

Survivors:

Several nieces, nephews and several other family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the fifth floor at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge for their kindness and gentile care.

Visitation: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Funeral Service: 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Seeber officiating.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Lake City, Tennessee for Wilma's graveside service.
