Virginia Glen "Bird" (Whaley) Turner, age 90 of Chillicothe, OH died 10:25 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Chill Rehab and Nursing Center, Chillicothe, OH. She was born March 11, 1920 in Vasper, TN the daughter of the late William Whaley and Bell (Severs) Whaley. On April 6, 1957 she was united in marriage to Harrison Virgil Turner, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1996.
Surviving are three sons, John Andy Hutcheison of Marysville, OH, Lonnie Elmer Hutcheison of Columbus, OH, and Charles Glen Turner of Ashville, Oh, two daughters, Vietta Fletcher and husband, Ray and Betty Sue Hutcheison both of Chillicothe, Oh, 13 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren, two sisters, Jeanette Hembree and husband, Mart of Caryville, TN and Geneva Nuckols of Baltimore, MD.
In addition to her parents and husband, two daughters, Dorothy Evansmier and Charlotte Weaver, two brothers, Jack and Elmer Whaley and three sisters, Minnie Leonard, Elsie May Rains, and Beulah May Queener preceded Virginia in death.
Virginia was a member of the Vasper Baptist Church in Vasper, TN and was a homemaker.
Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 20011 at Hatmaker Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Funeral service will follow 7:00 PM with Rev. Rick Murphy officiating. Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2011in Robbins Cemetery in Clinton, TN.
