Vera "Jackie" Gilbert, age 85, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Clinton. She was born in Campbell County, Tennessee to the late Hobert and Anna Mae Cross Jackson on August 6, 1928. Jackie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake City. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower bed, and making flower arrangements. In addition to her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Gilbert, daughter, Vicky Lynn Gilbert, and her great uncle, Lee Cross.

Visitation: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.

Interment: Family and Friends will gather at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to Leach Cemetery in Lake City for Jackie's 11:00 AM interment.
