Peacefully on December 13, 2013 Velva Leona Hatmaker Baird passed away. She was born on August 4, 1927 to the late Archie and Carinner Daugherty Hatmaker in Tennessee. Velva enjoyed selling Avon and visiting with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Velva is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Harold Baird, and her brother Dial Hatmaker. Velva loved many and was loved by many.
Survivors:

Children Marshall, Margaret, Ernestine, Judy, W.D. and Tommy Ward Lake City
Adopted Family Raushch's Maryland
Sister-in-Law Pansey Hatmaker Clinton

Many Neices, Nephews, and a host of other relatives and beloved friends.

Visitation:6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Leach officiating.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City, Tennessee.
Donations in Mrs. Baird's name may be directed to the
American Cancer Society
