Shirley Ann ParkerA� Met her maker to begin her journey into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 12, 2014. She was born to the late Arnold M. Seward & Alice Knigge on October 15, 1933 in Alexandria, Nebraska. They relocated to Oak Rige,Tennessee in 1949 where her father began his career as an Engineer and mother as a Registered Nurse. In 1951, Shirley met & married her true love, George Fletcher Parker, Son of Reverend G.C. Parker & Minnie Galbraith Parker, they shared 56 1/2 years of marriage, 7 children & many wonderful memories as well as several business ventures. Proceeded in death by husband, George Parker; Daughter, Kimberly Massengill; Parents, Arnold & Alice Seward; Siblings, Martha Raye, James Earl, and Alice Kaye Seward. Grandson Tyler Parker. Special friend Joe Perry of Norris. She leaves behind Son, Willliam Parker & wife, Rita of Lafollette; Daughter, Tamara Nichols & Daniel Buhl of Clinton; Son, Larry Parker & wife, Karen of Briceville; Son Scott Parker & wife, Billie of Knoxville; Daughter, Sherry Smith & husband, Ernie of Clinton; Son, Rick Parker, wife April of Corryton; Daughter, Sarah Parker of Andersonville; Son James Parker of Andersonville; Brothers, William Seward & wife, Sylvia of Ohio; Danny Seward of North Carolina; Sisters, Pat Kwiecinski & husband Albert of California; Vicki Knight & husband Wynn of Missouri; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Funeral Service: 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 14, 2014 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Wolfe officiating.
Family and Friends will meet at 11:00 am, on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Norris Memorial Gardens in Norris for graveside services.
