Shirley Carden, age 71, of Powell, passed away at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Shirley was born on July 23, 1942 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late Dewey James and Opal Lamb Lovely. She attended Edgemoor Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, reading, playing bingo, and spending time with her family and her friends. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband: Glnnth "Preach" Carden, her son, Darrell Carden, and her brothers, Marshall Lovely and his wife Verna, and Ronald Lovely and his wife Jo Ann.

Visitation: 5:00 PM -7:00 PM Monday, June 23, 2014 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 7:00 PM Monday, June 23, 2014 at Hatmaker Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Miller officiating.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at Hatmaker Funeral Home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 to go in procession to the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City, TN for a 10:00 AM graveside service.
