Sarah Louise (Blackwell) Melton

Sarah Louise Blackwell Melton, age 86, of Caryville, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Mercy Hospice of Knoxville. Louise was born in Draper, Kentucky to the late William Ben and Mary Elizabeth Hill Blackwell. She was a member of the Cherry Bottom Baptist Church of Lake City. She enjoyed quilting, gardening flowers, and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Issac "Ikie" Melton, her brother Rev. Earl Blackwell, her sister Mossie Mae Fannon Chataitis, and her Son-in-Law Con Ray Disney.

Eight Grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren

Several Nieces, Nephews, Relatives, and Friends.

Visitation: 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Louise will lie in state from 1 PM to 2 PM Friday, February 25, 2011 at Cherry Bottom Baptist Church with funeral to follow at 2 PM with Rev. Rick Howard and Rev. Junior Bailey officiating.
Interment:To follow funeral at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City
