OPAL S. TACKETT, age 86 of Smyrna TN formerly of Weeksbury, KY passed away Wednesday March 31, 2010 at Community Care of Rutherford County in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born February 11, 1924 at Dunleary in Pike County, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Harold J. Tackett, daughter Barbara A. (Tackett) Parks, parents Ray and Roma (Hurley) Mullins, and siblings Ted Mullins, Mabel Morton, and Pebble Dameron. She is survived by her son-in-law, William T. Parks of Smyrna; granddaughters, Amy Lynn (Parks) Fielder of Christiana, TN, and April Lee Parks of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Bryan and McKenzie Fielder, siblings, Jimmy Mullins of Elkhorn City, KY, Eloise Mullins and Ruey (Randall) Mullins of Belcher, KY and many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was a member of Eastern Star, Wheelwright Chapter 477, Wheelwright, KY. Special heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and caring staff of "G" wing at Community Care of Rutherford County. Visitation will be Saturday April 3, 2010 from 10:00AM till 12 Noon at Hatmaker Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 12 Noon with Rev. Tom Byrge officiating at Hatmaker Funeral Home, 503 S.
