Norma Jean Aslinger age 80 of Clinton Tennessee parted this world at UT Medical Center and entered the arms of her savior Jesus Christ on Sunday May 3, 2020 surrounded by her Loving family and those that had spent the night with her. In an instant angels carried her over Deaths River and left behind epilepsy and the rigors it had on her earthly body to suffer these pains nevermore. She will be missed around the old home place but our parting will not be for long she will be watching from the portals of heaven to welcome us when we reach home with her. Now the circle of life is broken but we will meet again in our new home. She was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church of Anderson County Tennessee.
She was a Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great grandmother. Norma Jean had countless gifts and talents the Lord had bestowed on her. She enjoyed spending time cooking for her family more than we all could ever eat which was always followed by her asking, “Is that all you are going to eat?” In addition, she had extraordinary talents in crafting, sewing, ceramics, word working most especially working in her flower garden. During her children’s elementary school days, she would make her famous oatmeal cookies for their respective bake sales. These became a staple of such events and of other friends of the family. She was always prepared to whip up a batch when family dropped in. Norma also possessed a talent to ride motorcycles on her father’s farm along with other members of the family. This was often after her mother had prepared Sunday meals for the Pride family, which would close out the day with her family riding mini bikes motor cycles around trails on the family farm. Cody her dog-blessed Norma Jean by helping her through her bouts of epilepsy by seemingly knowing ahead of time she was getting sick. Family and friends will forever miss her.
