Nancy Jane Patty, age 94 of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at her residence. Nancy was born in Anderson County, Tennessee on February 7, 1920 to the late Ramsey and Martha Phillips. Nancy was a former member of New Pilot Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening flowers, genealogy, and history. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by: her husband, Otis Patty Sr.; son, James Edward Patty; daughter, Billie Joyce Patty Carpenter Messamore, and Mary Scarbrough; grandson, David Ford Carpenter; sisters, Gracie Roysden, Rhona Shinlever, Evelyn Edmonds, Christine Hungate, and Flossie Burch; and brothers, Ovis, Joe, Ervin and James Phillips.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Murl Phillips and Rev. Johnny Randolph officiating.
Interment: To Follow Funeral Service at Long Jim Phillips Cemetery in New River, Tennessee
