Mildred Ruth Reed

Mildred Ruth Smith Reed, age 86 of Lake City, Tennessee, passed away on December 25, 2024 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mildred was born on November 16, 1938 in Coal Creek, Tennessee to the late Vernie Smith Sr. and Claude E. Wilson Smith.  She was a bank teller for Third National Bank for many years. Mildred was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, painting, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mildred is preceded in death by her sister: Margaret "Boots" Tucker, brother: Vernie Smith Jr., husband: Bruce Reed, and grandson: Chris Reed.

Survivors Include:

Son   Edward Reed and Tammy of Knoxville

Sister in Law Maxine Smith

Brother  Tom Smith and Pat of Lake City

Sister  Anna Lou Ayers of Knoxville

Grandchildren   Tyler, Ashleigh, and Leslie Reed

Great Grandchild  Hendrick

And a host of other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City at 3:00 PM.
