Mildred Mullins Martin returned to her heavenly home on June 27, 2017 in Monroe, NC at the age of 99. Mildred is survived by her children, Colene Busey, Loretta (Richard) Avery, Louise Beard, Vickie (Mack) Loftis, Mona (Mike) Rowe, Elmer Martin, Jr., Laney Martin, Lonnie (Veronica) Martin, and Donnie (Karen) Martin; daughter-in-law, Sharon Martin; siblings, Imogene Arthur, Cecile Pauley, Lewis Mullins; 27 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee (June) Martin; her son, Hubert Lee Martin; sisters, Ruby WIlson and Lucille Spivey; brothers, Lawrence Mullins and Earl Mullins; son-in-law, Mike Beard and Jeff Busey; and numerous other extended family members.

Mildred was born on October 24, 1917 in Petros, TN to James and Birdie (Jones) Mullins. She married Elmer on November 17, 1945. The couple welcomed ten children. Mildred lived in Lake City, TN before moving to Madison Heights, MI where she and Elmer raised their children. After Elmer's death, Mildred moved to Andersonville, TN and then to Monroe, NC with her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Mack Loftis.

Mildred was blessed with a large and loving family. She always loved being with her family, but also enjoyed keeping up with her children and grandchildren through phone calls and Facetime. She spent time watching her daily shows and soap operas. She was a 2-time champion of the Family Fantasy Football League. Mildred looked forward to her annual birthday parties with family and was especially excited about her eternal party in Heaven. She left this Earth ready to "dance like no one has ever seen before".

Viewing will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Hatmaker Funeral Home, in Lake City, TN from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a funeral service following at 6:00 PM.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Leach Cemetery, Lake City, TN, at 10:00 AM.
