Marilyn Emmaline Ernest

Marilyn Emmaline Ernest age 90, formerly of Pennsylvania transitioned peacefully into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Monday, January 20, 2025 in her home of many years in Jacksboro, Tennessee. She attended church at Rocky Top Worship Center for many years with her family and many friends. Marilyn enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She also loved to go fishing, enjoyed sewing, gardening and polka dancing in her younger years, and going to church. But, her most favorite thing to do was spending time with her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Ernest Sr., her parents Homer and Zelma Kelly, sisters Marjorie Swartz , and Dorothy Lanfrankie, her brothers Homer "Bus" Kelly, Frank "Frankie" Kelly, Eugene "Gene" Kelly and Kenneth Kelly. Marilyn is survived by her children:

Ronald & wife Nedra Ernest of Lexington, OH

Kenneth Ernest of Speedwell, TN

Kimberly Coleman & Husband Gary of Jacksboro, TN

Diana Ernest & Fiancé Randy Wright of Lafollette, TN

as well as 20 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren

Visitation: 4:00 - 6:00PM, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City

Funeral Service: 6:00PM, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Tackett officiating 

Interment: Family and friends will meet Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 12:15pm at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to Leach Cemetery in Lake City, Tennessee for a 1:00PM burial.  

A celebration of life will be held following the interment at the Rocky Top Worship Center Church in Rocky Top, TN.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
