Luther "Sam" Randolph, age 80 of Briceville, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center. He liked hunting, fishing and ginseng digging. He will be remembered by his family as Dad, Papaw and Old Buddy. His friends will remember him as one they could always depend on to help them in their times of need. Sam was a member of Indian Bluff Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Norma Braden Randolph; parents, Waymon and Maggie Bennett Randolph; brothers, Roy Lee (Johnny) Randolph, Willie B (Buddy) Randolph, James Randolph and Charles Randolph; and sisters, Louise Lowe and Reba Brown.
He is survived by four daughters, Angie (Paul) Davis, Lake City; Maggie Jeanette (Darrell) Miller, Clinton, Stephanie (Jimmy) Byrge, Briceville and Reba Randolph, Clinton. Grandchildren are Jessica (Andrew) Casteel, Traci Davis, Lucas Davis, Shelley (Jamie) Phillips, April (Nathan) Widener, Sarah Byrge, and Samantha Randolph and one great-granddaughter, Rachel Davis.
Brother: Waymon (Darlene) Randolph, Jr., Briceville
Sisters: Mae Lindsay, West Virginia; Sally Curnutt, Ohio, Susan Green, Briceville and Eva Anderson, Knoxville.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Helton and staff, nurses on 5 West at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge and the staff of the Waters in Clinton and all others who helped in his care.

Funeral Service: 8:00, Monday, September 19th, 2016 at Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jason Goans officiating.
Family and friends will meet at Indian Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery in Briceville for 10:30 am interment on Tuesday, September 20th with military honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
