Linda Gail Vowell

Linda Gail Vowell, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Linda was born on March 8, 1940 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late Everette and Pansy Bailey Young. Linda was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville. Linda had many hobbies including: crocheting, Christmas ornaments, baby afghans, crossword puzzles, watching the Atlanta Braves, spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and also spending time with her graduating class of 1958. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sister: Margaret Hyder and dear friend: Dale Boatman.

Loved as Grandchildren Andrew and Laura Nist; and Taylor, Tonya, and Tara Helmbolt

Special friends Class of 1958, which she loved dearly.

Funeral Service: 7:00 PM, Friday, August 7, 2015 at Main Street Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 8, 2015 for graveside services.
