Lewis Tackett, age 66 of Lake City, Tennessee, received his summons to appear in the presence of His most High God on December 27, 2012. He was born on April 25, 1946 in Anderson County to the late Conda and Mary Alice Duncan Tackett. Awaiting him there was his beloved daughter, LeeAnn, who preceded him in death in 1988. Lewis was a chairman of the deacon board and an active member and Sunday school teacher for many years at Fratersville Baptist Church. He had a special love for the church and its congregation. Lewis was an avid bible reader who enjoyed antique cars, and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents and daughter, Lewis is preceded in death by his brothers: Arvil, Clarence, and Carl Tackett, his brothers-in-law: Goldman Kennedy, Gene Pyles, Aaron Duncan, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Dewey and Arthorine Wilson.

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Fratersville Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Sweat officiating.
Mr. Tackett's interment will follow his funeral service on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
