Larry Ledon Barlow

Larry Ledon Barlow, Sr., 63, was born May 13th, 1951, in Lake City, Tennessee to Esther Joyce Matthews, the late Rufus Barlow, and the late John Matthews. He currently lived in Richmond, Kentucky with his family. Larry departed this life on September 5, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wayne Matthews. He was married to the love of his life, Reba Joyce Barlow, for 28 years. Larry has seven children: Christopher Allen Barlow (married to Amy Barlow) of Richmond, KY; James Carl (Bubba) Barlow of Richmond, KY; Joyce Ann Barlow (engaged to Ken Overton) of Richmond, KY; Larry Ledon Barlow, Jr. (married to Denise Barlow) of Richmond, KY; Terry Barlow of Mesa, Arizona; Jerry Barlow of Mesa, Arizona; and Laura Barlow of Mesa, Arizona. He also has seven grandchildren: Kevin Ledon Barlow, Matthew Robert Partin, Emily Ann Smith, Cadence Sharon Barlow, Michelle Marie Benecke, Joshua David Benecke, and Katie Lynn Benecke. Larry had three brothers and one sister: William Carl Barlow, Sr. (married to Deborah Barlow)of Pineville, KY;Michael Dwayne Barlow (married to Teresa Barlow) of Pineville, KY; Jackie Louise Barlow of Pineville, KY; and John David Matthews of Pineville, KY. He also has a special cousin, Tammy Michelle Moore (married to Rick Moore). He also had some very special nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives that he loved and cherished. He served in the Marines for five years and served 18 months of that time in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The funeral visitation and service will be at Hatmaker's Funeral Home in Lake City, Tennessee. The funeral visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11 AM to 1 PM. The funeral will follow the visitation immediately after at 1 PM. The burial will follow immediately after and be at Beech Grove Cemetery-Cambra Hollow with Military Honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard . Pallbearers will be Christopher Barlow, James (Bubba) Barlow, Larry Barlow Jr., William Barlow, Edward Barlow, David Barlow, Robert Smith, and Ken Overton. Alternate pallbearers will be Dallas Doll and Cody Hayes.
