Juanita Leach Elliott was born in Coal Creek, Tennessee on August 16, 1921 to Albert L. Leach and Lois Diggs Leach. She passed into Heaven on September 13, 2014 at the age of 93 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Christy R. Elliott, her parents, infant sister Margaret Louise Leach, son-in-law Ralph Wormsley and daughter-in-law Hazel Elliott. She leaves behind to rejoice in her home going her son, Chris Elliott (John), and her daughter and son-in-law Pat and Ken Shrull. She also leaves 4 grandchildren, Clark and Jody Wormsley of Knoxville, Krista and Jeff Little of Clinton, Leigh Anne and Chris Maye of Jacksonville, AL., Crissy and John Wilson of Lake City, and 4 great grandsons, Jordan and Mary Katherine Wormsley, Logan Little, Parker Wormsley and Garrett Little, 2 great great grandchildren, Cooper and Rileigh Maye of Al.

She lived in Lake City all of her life until moving into an assisted living community in Clinton in 2007. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren participate in sports and went to the games when she could. If she was asked about what she enjoyed doing she would say, "I love to do everything!", and she and Christy always told people, "we didn't miss much"! Everyone they met became a friend for life as they loved people.

She was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church in Lake City and enjoyed going to service when she felt good. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star in Lake City and was a 50 year member. Of all the things she loved to do it was the spending time with her family that made her the happiest. Going places, vacations, birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, anytime that her family was around her was the best times of her life.

She and her husband moved to Meadow View Assisted Living Community in 2007 and when he passed away in 2011, she continued to live there until her passing. A very special thank you to all the administration and staff at Meadow View for their care and concern for her. She was a person of great carrying but could be a little sassy if things didn't go her way. A zest for life and her way of telling a story could keep you laughing for hours. She was totally deaf for the last two years but knew everything that went on at Meadow View and would not hesitate to tell you about it! Pam Forgerty and Rachel Parrott were her go-to people, mostly she would go to Pam to tell on Rachel for making her walk. Anyone she came into contact with had a hard time forgetting her and her smile.

A special thank you to the staff of Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge for their loving concern and care for Juanita. Dr. Michael Hilton and the nursing staff of 4 West went above and beyond to make her last days comfortable.
