Johnny Elmer Goans, age 73, of Briceville, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born in New River, Tennessee on November 8, 1941 to the late Elmer Lee and Dorothy Phillips Goans. He was a retired coal miner for the Cross Mountain Coal Company and a member of Graves Gap Baptist Church. Johnny enjoyed talking on CB Radio, hunting, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by brother: Columbus Goans, and sisters: Pearl Goans, Margie Seiber, and Thelma Burns.

Interment to follow funeral service on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Indian Bluff Cemetery in Briceville, Tennessee.
