John Timothy (Tim) Rhea, age 59 of Lake City, went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2015 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge after a courageous battle with cancer. John (Tim) was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, friend, and teacher. Tim was always there for anyone in need. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. Tim was an agriculture teacher for 35 years at Campbell County High School and was also the FFA advisor. Having over 35 years invested in his teaching career at Campbell County High School was something he was very proud of. While there, he was always willing to help whether it was a teacher, student, or administrator. Mr. Rhea, John Rhea, or John are some names the students knew him by. He still had students that would call him and come see him up until his passing. He loved singing and playing the piano in church with his father and his son. Tim is preceded in death by parents: Rev. John B. Rhea and Mary Jane Smith Rhea.
