John Henry Harmon Jr

John Henry Harmon Jr. age 64 of the Fratersville Community, went home to be with the Lord after fighting a long and courageous battle with black lung on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center of Knoxville. He was born December 28, 1947 in Anderson County to the late John Henry Harmon Sr. and Pauline Barber. He was a United States Marine Veteran who served in Vietnam. John was a lifetime member of the Fratersville Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his family and his church family and special little dog Scarlet. John enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, reading his bible, and loved having his playtime with his grandchildren. He was a faithful prayer warrior. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Searle, Helen Sharp, Ruby Wilson, and Kathleen Daughtery, grandparents, Jack and Bessie Barber, and brother in law, Frank Braden.

Funeral Service: 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Sweat and Rev. Danny Orick officiating.
Friends and family will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Foust Cemetery in Lake City, TN for a 10:00 am interment with military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
