James Mack Viles, age 78, of Clinton passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born on November 20, 1932 in Anderson County to the late Virgil and Opal Moore Viles. Mack worked for the Clinton Utilities Board for 33 years before his retirement, and was also a United States Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Clear Branch Baptist Church of Lake City, and enjoyed fishing, UT Athletics, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mack is preceded in death by his son Mark Edward Viles, previous wife, Francis Viles, his sister, Patsy Ruth Viles, and his brothers: Larry, Ray, and Dallas Viles.

Visitation: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 in Hatmaker Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Randy Norton officiating.
Interment will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at Leach Cemetery in Lake City following the funeral service.
