James Leo Slover, age 86, of Lake City, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at his residence. Leo was born on May 6, 1930 in Campbell County, Tennessee to the late Pleasant E. Slover and Lassie Loving Slover. Leo was a member of New Freedom Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cattle, farming, joking, and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Leo is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Slover, brothers, Millard "Ham" Slover, Lloyd Slover, Bill Slover, and Floyd Slover, and his sister, Bonnie Sharp.

Visitation: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
The Funeral Service will follow visitation at 7:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2017 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stan Slover officiating.
Family and Friends will meet on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10:15 AM at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City to go in procession to Leach Cemetery in Lake City for an 11:00 AM graveside service.
