James Everette Parks, age 85, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Summit View of Lake City. Everette was born on May 19, 1928 in Harlan County, Kentucky, to the late James C. and Ruby Lay Parks. He was an iron worker for local 384 who enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Everette is preceded in death by his brother, Don Parks, and his sister, Sue Foust.

Interment: To Follow Funeral Service on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Leach Cemetery in Lake City with Military Honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
