James William Lane

James William "Bill" "Happy" Lane, age 63, of Lake City, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Bill was born in Anderson County, Tennessee on August 10, 1950 to James Lane and Ruby Tackett. Bill was a member of Laurel Branch Baptist Church where he faithfully loved going. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, NASCAR, Tennessee Football, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Bill is preceded in death by his father, James Lane, and his brother, Ray Lane.

Funeral Service: 6:00 PM Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Laurel Branch Baptist Church in Briceville, with Rev. Joey Cagley and Rev. Archie Seiber officiating.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at 9:30 AM on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City for a 10:00 AM graveside service.
