James "Jim" Jobe

James "Jim" Jobe, age 63, a life long resident of Lake City, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. Jim was born November 5, 1946 in Campbell County, Tn. to the late Eugene and Grace Jones Jobe. He was saved and baptized at Pine Hill Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed restoration of antique and street rod cars. He loved animals, especially his cats he called his "babies". Jim was a coal miner for 25 years and followed in his dad's footsteps who worked for over 50 years in the coal mines. He was a proud man of very strong principles, and had impeccable work ethics. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brother, Sonny Jobe, sister, Gladys Jobe Hembree, and nephew Gregory Roger Lowe.

Interment: To follow the funeral service Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Leach Cemetery in Lake City, TN.
