James H. Amos, age 66, of Lake City, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. James was born on April 18, 1948 in Lake City, Tennessee to the late Howard and Marjorie Beach Amos. He started his teaching career at Lake City Elementary School, and then retired from teaching and coaching girl's basketball at Lake City Middle School after 33 years. James served in the Army National Guard. He followed his career by working for Lowe's Home Improvement for 7 more years. He finally retired after this career to enjoy his family and hobbies.

Funeral Service: 7:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2014 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Courtney officiating.
Family and Friends will meet at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Oak Grove Cemetery for graveside services.
