Hester Ann Larue Johnson

Hester Ann Johnson age 67 of Lake City, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 23, 2016. Hester was born on February 14, 1949 to the late George Charles LaRue and Helen LaRue-Elliott. Hester's hobbies included gardening, bird watching, and bargaining at flea markets. Hester taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She worked 19 years as an educational assistant at Lake City Elementary School. After retiring she worked at Main Street Baptist Church Parents Day Out. What Hester loved the most was spending time with her 7 grandchildren. In addition to her parents Hester is preceded in death by: sister Martha Massengil and brothers-in-law James Massengil and Roger Phillips.

Sons: Jeff Johnson and wife Jill
Kevin Johnson and wife Keisha

Daughter: Jennifer Wilson and husband Mitchell

Grandchildren: Scarlett, Brycen and wife Ashley, Adam, Garrett, Elizabeth, Eli, and Jacob

Soon-to-be Great-Grandchild: Mattie Ann Wilson

Brothers: Lynn LaRue, Ralph LaRue, and Frank (Sherry) Elliott

Sisters: Betty (Lynn) Pride, Georgia (Larry) Ridenour, Kay (Charlie) Tackett,
Faye Cummings, Louise Elliott, Ruby Jean Phillips, and Peggy Rutherford.

As well as several loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Funeral Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Seeber officiating.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City, Tennessee for Hester's graveside service.
