Harry Winfred Sparks

Harry Winfred Sparks, age 73 of Briceville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, while surrounded by family and friends as God's angels carried him to his heavenly home. He was born October 20, 1937, as the ninth child to the late Sadie Ellen Hill Sparks and Harlan Lee Sparks. Also preceded in death by brothers, Jess and Frank Sparks, sisters, Evelyn Sparks, Helen Daugherty, and Lillie Martin.

Survived by wife of 53 years, Margie Ann Stonecipher Sparks, theirs was a match made in heaven surely blessed by the hand of God. Daughter, Karen Sparks and Eddie Willis of Pine Orchard, Son, David Sparks and wife, Tammy of Clinton. His fishing buddy for the past 12 years, grandson Daniel Beach-Sparks. Grandchildren, Amber Northcutt and husband, Jesse, Josh Newport. Great grandchildren, Bethanie and Gracie Mae. Special in-laws, the Hayes family of Briceville and the Cox family of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Survived by brother, Harlan Sparks Jr. of Mentor, OH, sisters, Katie Tadlock of Lake City, Kathleen Ballew of Norcross, Georgia. brother-in-law, Lonas Martin of Lake City. Several nieces and nephews and host of other friends.

He was a member of Tennessee Hollow Baptist Church, where he played the guitar, another one of his life's passions God blessed him with. Known as Winfred to some and as Harry to others, no greater has a man enjoyed life as much as he did. He did what he loved and loved what he did.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Hatmaker Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Troy Harmon, Rev. Joey Cagley, Rev. Archie Seiber, and Pastor David Triplett officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:15 AM at funeral home to go in funeral procession to Circle Cemetery in Briceville for 12:00 Noon interment.
