George Leon Smith

George Leon Smith, age 78, of Clinton, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. He was born on February 20, 1938 to the late Leonzia Smith and Mallie Galbreith (Smith). George was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed watching all sports, politics, and retired from the United States Navy and A&S Steel. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Smith, brother, Nelson Seiber, sisters, Mary Seiber and Nancy Elizabeth Redford, and brother-in-law, Carl Seiber.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Funeral Service: 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Houston Carroll officiating.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at Hatmaker Funeral Home on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 12:15 p.m. to go in procession to Foust Cemetery in Lake City for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service with military honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
