George Ray Black, age 74, of Lake City, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, April 20, 2014. Ray was born on June 13, 1939 to the late Bill and Effie Cooper Black. Ray was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Lake City. In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his infant brother, Glendean.

Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Main Street Baptist Church in Lake City, Tennessee.
A Celebration of Going Home Service will follow visitation at 8:00 PM at Main Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating.
Ray's interment will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton, Tennessee.
