Frankie Dean Sexton

Frankie Dean Sexton, age 89 of Jacksboro, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Frankie was born to parents Lon L. and Zena Stooksbury in Anderson County, Tennessee. She was a member of Sinking Springs United Methodist Church. Frankie retired from the telephone company with almost 38 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents, and first husband Fred Sexton, son, and wildlife artist, Ray Sexton and a caring husband, Floyd Johnson. Frankie had a several siblings: Hazel Lea Pitts, Blondell Wade, Ruby Nelson, Bernice Schaeffer, Lon L. Stooksbury Jr., Bobby Stooksbury, R.C. Stooksbury, Earl Stooksbury, Bill Stooksbury, Allen Stooksbury, Dallas Stooksbury and wife Jessie of Clinton, brother in law and sister in law Edgar Sexton and wife Jo Ann “Shirley” of Jacksboro, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to niece Kimberly Ryan and husband Billy, and to the LaFollette Court Assisted Living for loving and caring for Frankie in recent years.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton, Tennessee with Rev. Jamie Brewster officiating.
