Evelyn Louise Lindsay, age 89, of Lake City, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the North Knoxville Medical Center in Powell. Evelyn was born in Anderson County, Tennessee on May 20, 1924 to the late James Carter and Mary Emily Violet Glandon. She was a member of Longfield Baptist Church. Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, needle point, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by: husband, Clarence Lindsay; brothers: Charlie, Estel, Kelly, Bud, Raymond, James, and Donald Glandon; and sisters: Ollie Lane, Dot Clotfelter, and Glen Kirkham.

Funeral Service: 7:00 PM Friday, May 9, 2014 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Stanley and Rev. Clifford Fraker officiating.
Family and Friends will meet at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton, Tennessee on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM for Evelyn's interment.
