Ellis Burris

Ellis Burris, age 85, of Caryville, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the LaFollette Medical Center. Ellis was born February 24, 1930 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late Otis and Bessie Strong Burris. He was of the Baptist Faith. Ellis loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends; especially his grandchildren who he went four wheeling with. In addition to his parents, Ellis is preceded in death by: wife, Blanche Burris, daughter, Patricia Bransom, son, Virgil Burris, brother, Elmer Burris, and sister, Rainne Blankenship.

Funeral Service: 8:00 PM, Sunday, April 19, 2015 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Sharp officiating.
Family and Friends will meet at 1:15 PM, Monday, April 20, 2015 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, Tennessee to go in procession to Norris Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 PM graveside service.
