Charles Ernest Whitaker

Charles Ernest Whitaker, age 80 of Lake City, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was born January 2, 1935 in Anderson County to the late Fletcher and Stella Garner Whitaker. Charles was a member of Shultz Hollow Baptist Church. He loved animals and working on cars. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Whitaker.

Daughter Kim Knickerbocker and husband, Bret Michigan

Son Charles Dale Whitaker Lake City

Brother James Whitaker Clinton

Sister Opal Ward and husband, Paris Lake City

Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members.

Visitation: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12:00 PM, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Hatmaker Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Mac Marlow officiating.
Interment: To follow the funeral service at Island Ford Cemetery in Lake City, TN.
