Charles Stephens

Charles Edward Stephens, age 78 of Lake City, Tennessee went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 20, 2012. He was a longtime member of Willowbrook Baptist Church and was ordained into God's ministry on September 22, 1974. He was elected pastor of Willowbrook Baptist Church on December 4, 1974 to July 11, 1976 and elected Interim Pastor from September 27, 1978 to July 15, 1979. He enlisted into the United States Army Active Duty on September 30, 1952 and retired from the 978th Replacement Detachment with the rank of First Sergeant (E8) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He was a member and past master of Coal Creek Lodge #492 F&AM of Lake City. He was also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite and York Rite Mason. His hobbies included: reading, fishing, hunting, shooting, camping, and the military. His top priorities were: God, his family and his wonderful grandchildren.

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00PM, Friday, February 24, 2012 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 8:00 PM, Friday, February 24, 2012 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Harness officiating.
Interment: Friends and Family will meet at 12:30 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to Oak Grove Cemetery for Charles's interment at 1:00 PM with Military Honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
