Charlene "Peggy" Faye Crutchfield

Charlene Faye ("Peggy") Crutchfield, age 88 of Andersonville, TN, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014, at the Briarcliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was born July 29, 1926, in Anderson County, Tennessee, to the late Clarence and Lassie Carden Massengill. She enjoyed shopping, cooking for family get-togethers, spending time with family and friends, and outings with the Clear Branch Baptist Church Senior Group and the Lake City High School Alumni group. After retiring from Kroger's, she was especially helpful to her mother, aunts, and others in her extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Hiram Crutchfield.

The family expresses their appreciation to the loving caregivers during her struggle with Alzheimer's, including Morning Pointe of Clinton where she resided for 7 years, Briarcliff, and Amedisys Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee or your preferred local food bank.

Funeral Service: 7:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. T. D. Hooker officiating.
Family and Friends will meet on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Island Home Cemetery in Norris at 11:00 AM for Charlene's interment.
