Billy Ray Leach

Billy Ray Leach, 78, of Lake City, went to be with the Lord on August 8th, 2011, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born March 22nd, 1933, in Briceville, TN, the son of Robert and Ruby Bailey Leach and lived most of his life in Lake City. Billy Ray was a member of Main Street Baptist Church where he served as deacon and had also served as Trustee and Sunday School teacher.

He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean conflict and was also a member of Crystal Lodge No. 616, F & A.M. in Briceville. He was employed by Anderson County Highway Department.

Billy Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is preceded in death by parents Robert and Ruby Bailey Leach.
Survivors: wife of 54 years, Zola Sue, daughters: Kathy Brown and husband Tim of Clinton, TN, Kim Bunch of Bagdad, Iraq, Melissa Boyd and husband Brooks of Trent, TX, and the apple of his eye, his Granddaughter Emily Ann Boyd. Special family member Barry Bunch of Karns, TN. Sisters Mary Lou Lawson, Englewood, CO, Annette Yount, and husband Ray, Cincinnati, OH, Wanda Black and husband Ray, Lake City, TN, Brenda Townsend, Caryville, TN. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 10th, at Main Street Baptist Church, 215 4th Street, Lake City, TN.

The funeral will be at 8 p.m. with the Reverend Wayne Phillips and Reverend John Ledford officiating.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11th, at Woodhaven Cemetery in Claxton.

The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to Main Street Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 405, Lake City, TN 37769.
