Betty Fay Black Wilson

Betty Fay Black Wilson, age 82, of Lake City, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Betty went home to be with the Lord after battling numerous health issues. Everyone who knew her loved her and her quick wit spunk and energy. She was a very loving caring person with a passion for her gardening. She loved her cats and her flowers almost as much as she loved her family and friends. She preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wilson of Briceville, two brothers Kenneth D. Black of River Dale Georgia & George Ray Black of Lake City, two sisters-in-law June Bright Black of River Dale, Georgia and Brenda Hill Black of Estill Springs, Tennessee, and one brother in law David W. Reynolds of Winchester, Tennessee.

She is survived by:

Her only Sister Clara D. Reynolds, younger brother William W. Black Jr, Sister-in-Law Wanda Leach Black, her only daughter Denise Casteel, "Favorite Son-in-Law" David S Thurmond,  Jr., only grandson, Hoyt Andrew Casteel and his wife Jessica Davis - Casteel, nieces and nephews: Keith (Lisa) Reynolds, Tim (Jennifer) Black, Daniel (Melissa) Black, Todd (Renee) Black and William J. Black, great nephews Dallas and Zachary Black, great nieces Hillary Black and Lili Jane Black, Special Friends and Neighbors Lyndon and Alice Weaver, Roger and Bonnie Hooks, Carolyn Aslinger and Chris Aslinger.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Russell and Rev. Jimmy Ault officiating.

A Graveside Service will be held following the funeral service at the Circle Cemetery in Briceville, Tennessee.
