Bettie Joe Whitaker

Bettie Joe Whitaker, age 73 of Lake City, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was born July 21, 1939 in Lake City to the late Raymond Blanche and Viola Stella Ward Foust. Bettie was a member of Shultz Hollow Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and knitting.

Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2013 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 8:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2013 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Mac Marlow officiating.

Family and friends will meet at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to the Island Ford Cemetery in Lake City for the 11:00 AM interment.
