Bertha Elizabeth (Cox) Bailey

Bertha Elizabeth Bailey, age 101 of Lake City, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at NHC Healthcare in Oak Ridge. She was born August 17, 1910 in Campbell County to the late Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Nelson Cox. Bertha was the oldest member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She loved gardening, raising flowers and strawberries and being a mother. In addition to her parents, Bertha is preceded in death by Husband; Frank Bailey, Son; Odeva Bailey, Daughter; Cora Suttles, Great Grandson; Arick Chapman and three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral Service: 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Lane officiating.
Friends and Family will meet at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City for her interment.
