Bart Slover, age 87, of Caryville, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at his residence. Bart was born December 25, 1924 in Lake City to the late Leonard and Siler Hatmaker Slover. He was a member of the Clinch River Baptist Church and retired from Union Carbide with 39 years of service. He enjoyed four wheeling, boating, coon hunting, fishing, and working on old trucks. Bart was a friend to everybody and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Bart is preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae Duncan Slover, his second wife, Janice Byrge Slover, brothers, Jim, Sam, Gene, John and Dotson Slover, sister, Ailene Kesterson and daughter-in-law, Sharon Slover.

Funeral Service: 8:00 pm, Tuesday May 1, 2012 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Dison officiating.
Interment: Friends and Family will meet at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to Oak Grove Cemetery for an 11:00 am interment.
