Barbara Anne Schimmel

Barbara Ann Schimmel, age 81, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Tennova Residential Hospice in Halls. She was born on July 17, 1935 in Coal Creek, Tennessee to the late William and Ona Duff Roberts. Barbara was a substitute teacher for the Anderson County School system. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake City. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed singing in the choir at the church. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, O.J. Schimmel.

Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, Tennessee.
Funeral Service: 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 with Rev. Brian Courtney officiating in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at the Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. for Barbara's graveside service and interment.
