Athela "Kate" Elliott

Athela "Kate" Elliott, age 83 of Lake City, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Summit View of Lake City. Kate was born May 19, 1929 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late Oscar and Nettie Johnson Carden. Kate was a lifelong member of Clear Branch Baptist Church, where she organized dinners, was the treasury of the church for 17 years. She was also one of the caretakers of Leach Cemetery. In addition to her parents, Kate is preceded in death by: her husband, James Elliott, her brother, Oscar Carden, and her sister, Mildred Bodak.

Funeral Service: 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in the Clear Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Norton officiating.
Interment: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Leach Cemetery in Lake City.
