Athelee went home to be with Jesus. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her home. She was the last Charter Member of Guiding Star Baptist Church in the Medford Community, where she attended faithfully. She is preceded in death by: her husband: Harry Allen Brittle, mother: Elyda Riggs Sharp, father: Tom Riggs, sister: Bernice Rhea, and daughter: Joyce Braden.

Survived by: Son: Jerry and wife Eleanor Brittle, granddaughters: Jessica Braden and Melody Leab, grandson: Jeremiah Brittle, and great granddaughter: Aimee and husband Joseph Howe, great grandsons: Scott Lambert and Jonathan Leab, and 3 great great grandchildren: Andrew, Rachel, and Joseph, all of Lake City.


Visitation: 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Guiding Star Baptist Church in Lake City, Tennessee.
Funeral Service: 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Guiding Star Baptist Church in Lake City, with Rev. Johnny Raines officiating.
Family and Friends will meet at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, Tennessee, at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, October 29, 2015 for Athelee's interment.
