Ada Armes, age 74, of Jacksboro, Tennessee went to her eternal home, to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Methodist Medical Center in oak Ridge, Tennessee with her loving family by her side.
Ada was a born again child of God and was saved as a young girl. She was a member of Christian Fellowship, Lake City, Tennessee.
She was a loving mother, wife, mamaw, and friend. She thoroughly enjoyed yard sales and flea markets, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ada's parents were the late C.H. (Charlie) and Nancy Phillips of New River in Anderson County, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Charlsea Whitner.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Arlie Armes; one beloved son and daughter-in-law; Arvile Armes and Nona Lee; one special great, great grandson, Rylan Zayne; grandchildren, Brian Strunk and wife Joyce and their children: Brittany, Bradley, and Bailee; Dillon Ward and wife Marleesa and their children: Savanah, Shelby, Shalyn, and Cody; special friends: Verda Shannon, Christine Byrge, Ruby Phillips, Debbie Phillips, Stasha Marlow and Lillard, Marsha Keeton, and many other family and friends.
Visitation: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, February 9, 2015 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Celebration of Life Service: 7:00 PM Monday, February 9, 2015 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Justin Phillips officiating.
