Arlie Armes, age 77, of Jacksboro, Tennessee went to his eternal home, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Arlie was a born again child of God and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Jacksboro, Tennessee.
Arlie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Ada Armes, and his parents, Finley and Stella Armes of Petros, Tennessee.
He is survived by: one beloved son and daughter-in-law; Arvile Armes and Nona Lee; one special great, great grandson, Rylan Zayne; grandchildren, Brian Strunk and wife Joyce and their children: Brittany, Bradley, and Bailee; Dillon Ward and wife Marleesa and their children: Savanah, Shelby, Shalyn, and Cody; special friends: Verda Shannon, Curtis Nolan, Stasha Marlow, W.T. Strunk, Lillard, and Marsha Keeton, and many other family and friends.
Visitation: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Celebration of Life Service: 7:00 PM Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Justin Phillips officiating.
