Andrew Lee Jackson Messamore, age 99, of Clinton, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013. Andrew was born on January 28, 1914 to the late James and Barbara Russell Messamore in Anderson County, Tennessee. He was a World War II army veteran. Andrew was in the battle of Okinawa with the 96th Infantry where he received a Purple Heart for his dedication and bravery. Andrew enjoyed to fish and to hunt. In addition to his parents, Andrew is preceded in death by his wife, Partella Messamore, son, Jimmy Messamore, brothers, Charlie and Henry Messamore, and his sisters Haley Nation, Dee Nation, Anna Mae Messamore.

Graveside Service Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 27, 2013 at Rufus Daugherty's residence in Devonia, TN with Rev. Jackie Bean officiating and military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard. The interment will follow the graveside service at the Emily Patterson cemetery in Devonia, TN.
