Alma (Ann) Hembree, age 66 of Vasper, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in Piqua, OH. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and watching Nascar Racing. She was preceded in death by parents Oscar and Bertha Austin, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Joe and Ethel Hembree, Sister Naomia Childs, Brothers Arthur D. Austin and Leonard Presley.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Joe Hembree of Carville, TN; daughters Connie and Tim Brush of Piqua, OH, Sandy Hembree and Philip Vandergriff of Lake City, Karen and Tony Lowe, Tina and Matt Wilson of Vasper, TN, Dee and Dewayne Wilson of LaFollette, TN; sons David and Teresa Hembree of Troy, OH, Eric and Brandy Hembree of Vasper, TN; grandchildren Jayden Brush, Tara Weaver, Matt Lowe, Meghan, Nicholas, Whitney, and Dalton Wilson, Chelsie, Kelsea, and LeAnne Hembree; great-grandchildren Haylen Lowe and Deacon Weaver; sisters Dean Baor and Kathleen Shook of Ohio, and Dorothy Wilson of Caryville, TN; brothers Carl Austin of LaFollete, TN and Franklin Austin of Utah; and several nieces and nephews to mourn her passing; and her beloved dog Gizmo; special friends Joyce Taylor, Joyce Swangin, Tim Bryant, Everett Cox, Drew Liette, and Jeannie Carroll.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 6PM to 8PM at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, with the funeral to follow at 8 PM with Rev. Derick Hembree and Rev. Leroy Braden officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to Hembree Cemetary, in Vasper, TN for a 1:00 PM burial.
