Ada Reed, age 100, of Lake City, went to meet the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Emeritus Assisted Living in Oak Ridge. She was born August 15, 1913 in Anderson County, TN to the late William English and Mary Ellen Jones Daugherty. Ada was a member of the Island Ford Baptist Church. She enjoyed ginsenging, gardening, hunting, fishing and camping. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Disney Halcomb, Clyde Burris, and Dell Reed; sons, Joe and Billy Halcomb, Clyde Burris Jr., and Ossie Edwards; daughters, Sylvia Roach, Dorothy Smith, and Peggy Caylor; brothers, Byrd Edward and McKinley Daugherty; sisters, Lula Roach and Willie Towe; grandsons, Michael Strong and Joe Mack Burris; granddaughter, Veronica Trame; great grandsons, Chris Fisher and Michael Halcomb; great granddaughter, Penny Carver.

Visitation: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Harness and Rev. David Walker officiating.
Interment: Family and Friends will gather at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton for Ada's interment.
